memang saya sendiri jarang membuat quote" begini, tapi kebetulan saya kemarin menemani ibu saya pergi pengajian dan yah saya rasa pengajian itu bagus pembawaannya sehingga saya pun turut mendengarkan. inti yang saya tangkap adalah untuk mencintai apa yang Tuhan cintai walaupun kita tidak suka dan menjauhi apa yang Tuhan benci walau nafsu kita menginginkan. kebetulan lagi, saya akhir-akhir ini begitu sering mendengar kata" 'sosialita' disebut-sebut. membuat saya teringat akan artikel yang saya baca di majalah indonesian tatler, NYLON, etc. sebenarnya apasih sosialita itu? dan bukan, saya bukan seorang sosialita. saya hanya terhenyak melihat kehidupan yang begitu mewahnya di antara kesusahan negri ini. so, from those things above, i mixed 'em up and ended up with making this quote on my mind...

magazine fetish : NYLON

oke, sebagai seorang remaja putri tentulah normal buat saya membaca majalah" remaja. saya suka, SANGAT SUKA, membaca majalah. kenapa? karena saya merasa bahwa majalah adalah kumpulan berbagai informasi. it contains a loooot of informations! dan ya majalah" remaja seperti itu walaupun kebanyakan membahas fashion tapi juga ada info kesehatan maupun sosial. hal yang saya cari dari sebuah majalah remaja adalah new updates mulai dari fashion, tech, and the most important thing : MUSIC. saya memang suka menggali lagu-lagu yang tidak mainstream dan masih hawt. saya mencari majalah yang bisa mencakup itu semua dan saya pun akhirnya melirik NYLON :)

memang lebih sering update paling panas datang dari majalah luar negeri. yah saya sendiri merupakan penggemar berat NYLON :D namun, karena harganya yang menguras dompet, saya selalu membeli NYLON edisi sebulan sebelumnya di toko" tertentu dengan mengeluarkan IDR 35k, lebih baik dariharga aslinya IDR 85k bukan? and believe me, eventhough it's just a-last-month magazine if it's from abroad you still can read newest infos :) that's why i love it.
majalah NYLON pertama saya adalah edisi oktober 2008 yang saya beli di ore store dengan cover zooey deschanel. sejak saat itu saya jadi rajin membeli NYLON, tapi tergantung issue-nya juga sih. kalau menurut saya menarik, baru saya beli.

majalah ini memberikan berbagai informasi baru tentang dunia urban dan sesuatu yang hip dengan cara yang lain yang tentunya lebih menarik. penataan di tiap halaman membuat saya tidak bisa berhenti menyisir setiap bagian dari majalah ini.
pernah bayangkan indonesia punya majalah seperti itu?

mungkinkah kebutuhan atas informasi urban di negeri ini begitu menggelegak hingga akhirnya muncul nylon indonesia? oh i can't decide, it's just awesome to see these babies born :')




the first issue of NYLON indonesia is grrreat!
it's just really similar to the real NYLON. the smart beautiful girl (or woman?) Mariana Renata turns out to be the cover for this first issue.
the contents? c'est super! love it! but.... mungkin karena ini first issue, setengah dari edisi ini diambil dari NYLON september 2010 yang notabene telah saya baca berulang-ulang :( tapi memang ada artikel" yang originally contributed from indonesia, but still.... i expect more 'O'
we'll see in the next issue...

hahaha jujur saya belum pernah baca edisi 'guys' tapi karena ini the first issue jadi saya memutuskan untuk membelikan abang saya sebuah :P
Jesse Eisenberg tampil sebagai cover perdana, mungkin belum ada public figure laki" yang pas? entahlah...
yap memang isinya untuk para cowok ya tapi gaada salahnya kok buat cewek yg mau baca. again, it gives you a lot of new updates! :)
dan untuk edisi perdana ini, saya memberikan vote saya pada NYLON guys. why? karena saya belum pernah membaca setiap artikel yang dimunculkan sedangkan pada NYLON indonesia, i've read most of it already *sigh*

overall... kedua NYLON indonesia ini patut diacungi 4 jempol! memang dari segi penataan halaman dan sejenisnya persis banget (and i adore it soo much) tapi dari sisi isi mungkin memang masih butuh waktu untuk menyesuaikan :) dan yah memang sangat aneh untuk membaca NYLON dalam bahasa indonesia tapi ini hanya soal kebiasaan saja lah haha. the price is actually too high for me : IDR 35k (remember how i can buy american NYLON with IDR 35k? even though it's the last month edition...) but.. will try the next issue, still!

flashlight

yeap, this is not a photoshop or else, this is pure from my camera :D cool eh?
i knew how to do it after i joined a workshop last week hihi
i made it with just one thing, flashlight! yeah, a small flashlight can make this awesomeness ;) i didn't edit them, at all.
actually there's an assignment for that workshop but i guess i won't submit mine because i think they're not that good ._.
but still, practice makes perfect :)

meet uncle nolan

whaddup y'all? ;D

yeah, this is uncle Nolan (one name that just popped up in my head after i finished this thing, lol). Uncle Nolan is my first original papertoy. Made it in a workshop two days ago. Well, it took 5-6 hours to make this, from the sketching, coloring, etc. Tiring, but fun actually :)

As an amateur i guess it doesn't look that bad, eh? i kinda like it anw :P

So, I used common A3 drawing paper to make all of its parts. For the head i used oil crayon to color it 'cause hell yeah it's impossible to use marker, duh ._. but for the body i used maped markers, it turns out catchy i guess :)

Who's uncle Nolan? I didn't prepare for his identity anw, i just thought about giving him personality haha. I guess he's an old shepherd who lives in a mountain 'cause he uses a unique coat that'll keep him warm. He lives alone with his pet dog and a lot of sheep. He uses a fox cap and i think he likes to hunt when he was young. make sense? hahaha :P

well, i guess it's gettin late, i got bunch of stuffs, SCHOOL stuffs, to do. life's gettin harder these days.

being a 12th grader is tough, really :(
